T-Mate®
The T-Post Game Camera Mount
What’s in the box?
Please inspect box contents to ensure all parts are present. If you find anything missing or damaged call 682-422-6777 and leave a message with your contact name and number and I will get back to you a.s.a.p.
The box is held onto the T-Mate with the 1/4″-20 tpi thumbscrew, a flat washer and a nut that will be used to mount the camera. *Do not discard them!* Inside the box you will find a parts bag containing a latch/lock pin, a ball chain for retaining the lock pin to the T-Mate, a carabiner for locking the pin to the T-Mate and a plastic retaining washer.
Thread the ball chain through the lock pin and through the small hole at the base of the T-Mate and snap it together.
Determine where your camera’s threaded insert is located and screw the thumbscrew to it via the corresponding slot in the T-Mate. You may need to add the nut and/or washer to take up any additional length for shallow threaded inserts on some cameras. Some cameras my not include a threaded insert and may require additional means of attachment such as zip ties (not included).
Drive the “T” post with the knobs facing the direction you wish to take pictures. Hold the T-Mate® with the “T” shaped opening perpendicular to the top of the “T” post and lower it to the desired height on the post.
Swing the T-Mate down and capture the left side of the post with the angled flange.
The non angled flange must sit just to the outside of the right side of the post. The first time you attempt this you may need to slightly flex the flanges to accommodate different width “T” posts. Slide the locking pin through the corresponding slot fully and secure with the carabiner. In the event your “T” post is oriented in the wrong direction you may still have an option for mounting by inverting the T-Mate® and positioning it at the top of the post as seen in this example… Also, if bottom mounted with the thumbscrew, you can simply loosen the screw to position the angle of the camera to varying degrees depending on your camera’s design.
